I hope everyone is having a great time this weekend. Please don't forget the real reason for the holiday (it's not just for cookouts, etc).
I don't have any plans myself. The hubby has had to work all weekend (8 AM to 8PM Friday-Sunday). There's a chance my family might happen to have a cookout Monday.
I forgot to post on here that I have completed my first erotic romance novel. I submitted it to a publisher that I really hoped to get published with, but it was rejected. It's the first piece of work that I've felt comfortable enough putting out there. I know most writers don't get accepted their first time, but it is a crushing feeling when you're out there only to be turned down. It also makes you wonder whether or not to continue pursing it.
It's an emotional time for me right now for various reasons so I guess that is causing me to act a lot worse about this rejection than I should. I thought I could handle it pretty well, and I might have, if I weren't so darned emotional. Oh well, after I get my emotions in check, I'm sure I'll be able to take their advice and turn this rejection into a learning lesson. I do thank them tremendously for taking the time to consider my work as well as being prompt in their response and for their suggestions.
